When I mean Bulgari fan, I don't mean only watches but also bags, wallets, accessories, etc. My first "real" watch was the Bulgari Bulgari that I fell I fell in love with at first sight 15 years ago. So when the OF came out, I was mesmerized by its design. I was able to buy a used one this year, a blue dial with the smaller rotor and I love it. It's comfortable, easy to read, and a delight to see it change looks depending on the light. So far I have been a lucky owner with no "stopping problems", as far as I have noticed.
It's unfortunate the problems that you have had with winding and stopping. Even though mine is the older movement, I have not had any problems what so ever (so far!). Some days I don't wear it all day long, so when it stops, it stops, but nothing out of the ordinary it seems. In fact, I wore mine for a while yesterday for 9 hours. It just stopped today about an hour ago. So after 9 hours of wear, I got 35-36 hours. The crown size is not an issue for me, especially compared to some of my other watches that are a chore to pull out the crown and then wind it.
In all, I am glad to see you end this review on such a positive note. I was worried when I started reading your review, that Bulgari and the OF were not going to get any praise at all. But, after your legitimate criticism, your uplifting conclusion ended on a high note. I am glad to see that after various issues, you are still happy with the OF, which I believe is truly a brilliant design and mechanical marvel, which needs more recognition and fans. Finally, while it is not a "waitlist" model at this time, I think that it could be if Bulgari manipulated production. Glad that this is not happening.
