Announcing Theme for WS for next Friday, January 10th: "One Watch, One Milestone"

Jan 08, 2020,05:11 AM

Hello dear friends! I´ll have the pleasure of hosting our second WS edition of Year 2020 starting next Friday 10th.

Watches are such a personal and intimate object that we human beings treasure so much wether we are passionate collectors or just watch users who like to read the time with a traditional timepiece.

It is no surprise then, that an special watch is usually chosen to celebrate a personal milestone in our lives: a marriage, a child birth, a birthday, a job promotion, a retirement are occasions which led us to the purchase of a nice watch (or to receive one as a present) to mark forever the event.

It doesn´t matter the brand, model or the monetary cost of that watch. In any case it will always be an special piece which will remind us our milestone each time we wear or view it on our wrist, and will bring joy and fond memories of places and people around the event which brought that watch to our home and to our heart.

So... the Theme is "One Watch, One Milestone" and the challenge is to show a watch and tell us in a few words which is the Milestone which it celebrates.

As in every WS session, you may participate posting pictures in any category or in the three categories:

Best Static shot

Best Wrist shot

Best Watch of the Week    (to be chosen by your host among all watches shown in the thread)

Please wait my opening Post next Friday morning to begin posting your watches and telling about the Milestone it reminds!

Best cordial regards, Abel.

My Explorer ref 114270 was a self present celebrating my 60th birthday and my "official" start as a watch collector.
