Montblanc Villeret Grand Chronograph Grand Feu Enamel blue dial - NWA

Feb 09, 2021,11:24 AM

I am so happy that my Montblanc Villeret Grand Chronograph LE 1/1 finally arrived. This watch is a piece unique with a blue Grand Feu enamel dial sitting in a platinum case and being driven by the Minerva caliber 16.29 which you can admire after opening the officers lid. The monopusher in 47 mm was built 67 times: 58 pieces in RG, 8 pieces in WG and 1 piece in PT. This watch was showcased by Montblanc on many events and fairs and now I have been so lucky to finally being able to get it allocated.

It is very heavy and pretty large but not too large for me. The case itself is nicely shaped like a neck-protection of a knights armor. And the blue enamel dial shows beautiful variations from strong blue to dark blue and light blue as only enamel can do - I have not seen a more beautiful blue dial up to now.

There exist several in-depth reviews of this Montblanc Villeret Grand Chronograph on WPS so I won’t go into further detail but let the pictures of my new arrival speak. Thanks for looking!

and surprised the watch you come up with. Certainly an unique Peace, a chronograph which i like more than a standard two pushers and a crown. Great to see members with the target to get a big 45 plus millimeter Swiss time keeper. I am also fan of very ove...

This is an incredible and very special piece.

You're lucky you can wear the 47mm case! If I had a bigger wrist, this would be the best watch for it!

Thank you, Nico :-) You sum it up perfectly

Indeed it is imho the most impressive watch I have ever seen. Within the Montblanc Minerva collection (and with other brands) there are more complicated pieces so initially I was unsure to spend this many bucks on a simple Chrono. On the other side this i...

and the enamel is not only Grand Feu but also Grand Feu champleve (through this technique it becomes more 3-dimensional). Compared to my black enamel chronograph you can see it by eyes but I don't have the camera to make it obvious in pictures. ...

Thank you for your kind words - here is another one showing the dial in different shades of the light

but I cannot do a comparison of the different enamel work because even the camera of the iPhone 12 won't catch it; i guess i need a macro lens ...

a beauty as well
