Minerva M13,21 movement on steel case.....US30k*

what do you think of this Black dial version ?

personally i feel the Blue dial Montblanc Monopusher few years before was spot on & the movement finish was brilliant too.

The Blue has a different movement, and a bigger case. For me, still my favorite. Not bad looking, this one, but nothing special, in my opinion. [nt]

i agree Nico...Blue dial was quite good - even the big case size was fitting the movement size + comfortable on the wrist...

Nice watch, but $30,000 seems too much. M4

Here I disagree. 30 K USD is still ( the MB 1858 Tachymeter from 2016 was a tad lower in price ) a very good price for a chrono of this quality. Especially when you compare the finishings of the movement. [nt]

The trip sounds interesting although there isn't a ton of detail on that (flight class, hotel, meals). Is this really a trip with a nice souvenir watch included?

Well, the trip costs 30 K USD, and they offer you the watch. ;) [nt]

My main criticism of the 1858 Tachy Bleu with cal 16.29 is the diameter of the piece. For me, having “evolved” my tastes to vintage size proportions, 42mm is too big for me. This H edition hits the right size at 40mm and 12mm something in thickness. And w...

i agree 40mm is right sized...

 By: mahesh : September 25th, 2019-07:53
i think 42 made sense for cal 16,29 i'm very much like you, i prefer 40mm or less but i felt the 42mm case sat well on the wrist when i tried out. i feel the blue dial was 'more' lively than the black but probably that is just me...

It is not even 42 mm. It is 44 mm ( Tachy Blue ). With the Hondinkee, you have exactly the same thing than this one.

 By: reintitan : September 25th, 2019-10:34
As I stated before I would really have preferred that they kept the Minerva name for the watches while Mont Blanc was reserved for the pens and leather goods. The dial and hands are IMHO much cleaner and easier on the eyes than the regular production mode...

Agreed. I don't think the price is a problem, here. I would rather say it is the dial and the hands. Something more special would have been better, in my opinion. Rather than a black version of the green. [nt]
