Montblanc Heritage Spirit Orbis Terrarum. A good souvenir.

A nice looking world time with a pedestrian movement ( Sellita + in house module ), launched in 2015.

I reviewed it here:

www.watchprosite.com

And I thought for a long time it would be my first Montblanc watch. Till the day I discovered the 1858 Tachymeter...

Friendly, nice looking, reliable, affordable, this watch has a lot of qualities. But since this year, I am starting to wonder if, like the Perpetual Calendar, the Orbis Terrarum will receive, one day, an in house movement.

I think that, if it is the case, this watch will become another thing than a souvenir, a reality, for me. In this case, it might well be my second Montblanc watch!

What do you think?

Best,

Nicolas

The original version of the Orbis Terrarum with the 41 mm case and on the bracelet is for me an interesting "every-day" watch.

Though, I wonder if the dial design so close to to what Vacheron Constantin offered with the world time model 86060/000R-9640 was such a good idea of LVMH. And now Christopher Ward came up with the C1 Grand Malvern Worldtimer , with an in-house worldtime ...
