My favorite of Lange's 2017 SIHH introductions was the Little Lange 1 Moonphase (36mm) in rose gold with argente-colored gold guilloche dial and white background on the moon disc (ref. no. 182.030). It's the white-and-gold moonphase disc that makes this watch stand out from the crowd.
Lange is marketing this as a women's watch, and its default strap color is white. Here it is, on my thin (6"/154mm) wrist, during a visit to the NYC Lange boutique last week (apologies for the picture quality -- boutique lighting is not ideal for watch photography):
I thought this watch would look great as a men's watch if worn with a darker strap. The folks at the boutique were kind enough to test this hypothesis. Here's what it looks like on a brown strap:
And here it is on a black strap -- my personal favorite:
In the middle of this exercise, an unexpected surprise ... Sylvia, President of Lange USA, stopped by the boutique for a visit. Here you can see this watch on her wrist (with a black strap), below 2016' s Grand Lange 1 Moonphase Lumen (ref. no. 139.035F):
I wish I had better photos of the Little Lange 1 above on the black and brown straps. This is a truly stunning combination -- and rose gold is usually my least favorite precious metal, too (vs. yellow gold, white gold, and platinum). I'm glad Lange is making this watch as a standard-production model. The white moonphase disc background is genius!
