Based on my limited research...
This particular, early Little Lange 1 was made for the Japanese market, where the Lange distributor was worrying that the original 38.5mm Lange 1 might be too big for the Japanese.
Turned out it’s not the case, the 38.5mm was selling well. As a result, the production of this 36.1mm Lange 1 was extremely small. Some said no more than 75 samples.
Anyway, 36mm or 38.5, Japanese or German, stealth or darth, I enjoy it nonetheless!
