Some of you will recall I sold my only Lange (Dato U/D) a few years ago, in part to justify the addition of another piece from Journe. It was the right decision for me at the time, and I’ve not second guessed it as the “new to me” Journe has commanded a lot of wrist time since.
That said I have been eager since to find something else (Lange) which might appeal.
And so I arrived at not one but two, an itch well and truly scratched with this time only pair.
This particular 1815 has been something I’ve thought about purchasing several times since it’s release. The combination of the Honeygold case and the eggshell textured or granular finished dial is really a very appealing combination to me.
The Richard Lange is maybe a controversial one, given its unexpected appearance after the initial PT and RG limited editions with the enamel dials. Jokingly one might even refer to it as the “Richard Lange Pour le Mérite Once Again” !
For me it’s the most casual of the three and so it is the obvious choice in terms of day to day wearability.
All that is needed now are some custom straps to dress both of these down a little.
