I’ve been trying to find a Breguet Tradition in WG for a few years now and finally got a hold of one.
Not a professional watch journalist so no elaborate write up.
Instead bask in the glory of short & sweet bullet points.
In summary, awesome watch that I like more than pieces I’ve owned before that cost a lot more. Some really cool finish work & the mix of classic styling plus industrial aesthetic is really cool.
Quick note, I abuse sharpening & smoothening in Lightroom because I’m using a phone camera, which is why you’ll see some artifacts in my pictures. Namely, black polished pieces and anglage don’t look as good, plus some blurriness. IE the “25” on the PR looks less sharp than it does in-person or with a real camera.
-The case is awesome. The coin edge is something I like a lot more than I thought I would and the lugs are really well executed. Extremely clean.
-The bridge/piece holding the balance is really well executed. I wish I had a macro set up so I could get a good shot of it, but there are some really impressive angles on it.
-Love being able to see the balance wheel in action + associated parts.
-These do wear large because of the lugs. This is why I picked the 7027 personally.
-The dial, what’s not to love? Extensive guilloche work done by hand – not printed. Breguet hands, etc… I love the classic styling with the overall industrial look of the watch thanks to the frosting/satin.
-Strap is solid, more or less what you always get with nice watches like Lange in this price range.
