Finally got to try on a few of the new La Tradition models...

during my trip this past weekend and earlier this week, I had a chance to stop by the Breguet boutique in Cannes to try out several of their novelties.

Spent some time with each and was torn between the 37mm and 40mm La Tradition models. Unfortunately they did not have all the different models to try on but at least I could see how they wore on my small wrist (~ 6 1/2 - 6 5/8" or 16.5cm - 17cm). I actually think the La Tradition wears a bit bigger than it's diameter size due to the long and straight lugs.

On the wrist both looked fine but I think the photos enhance the perception of size so I am leaning towards the 37mm models.

I would appreciate any comments or thoughts 😉😁👍

This is the new ladies model but in 37mm to test for size

And here is the new men's 40mm with retrograde seconds hand for size comparison.

I also suppose you do not like the PP 5170P ;-)

Ah the 5170P would be comparing apples to oranges here...

The baguette diamond markers are actually a lot more subtle than the diamond bezel on the Breguet ladies La Tradition. I do really like the 5170P but choose the 5070P 100 / 100 times without hesitation, one factor being the lack of diamonds 🤷‍♂️😁😉 (even a...

Sometimes it depends on how you wear it

If you wear it above the wrist bone 40 mm looks too large. Below the wrist bone may give it a more snug fit.

I always wear my watches above the wrist bone, any watch. Maybe it was not a fair comparison as the 40mm was not fitted tightly on my wrist due to the strap...

I would require a shorter strap as I was already on the last hole and still needed a bit smaller on the 40mm with strap. Again, I don't think it has anything to do with the diameter of the watch itself, more about the straight lugs and how they extend. If...

I would go for 40, I guess I am into

Modern sizing.

I see your point bro but due to the straight lugs of this reference, it wears bigger than it's diameter size. Try one and you'll see what I mean 😉

I have made many mistakes in the past with purchases without seeing how a watch fits on my wrist. Ever since, I have forced myself to try them on, even if I have to remain patient and find one if it is a rare model, before pulling the trigger. This has wo...

Def great looking watches .
