My new Breguet Tradition 7097.
Jun 27, 2020,02:43 AM
I guess everyone makes a few mistakes during his/her watch collection "career".
One of my mistakes was when I sold (actually it was a trade-in) my Breguet Tradition 7057 in white gold a few years ago.
Time now to rectify that mistake!
I personally find the Tradition to be one of the best and most daring watch designs from the last 20 years, all brands confused.
For sure not a watch to everyone's taste and for sure not a watch for your typical #MeTooNautiluswristshot guy.
My choice is the ref. 7097 with retrograde second in rose gold.
I went for the rose gold model as I like the contrast with the anthracite dial.
The retrograde second adds (even more) action to the dial side.
The details are stunning and I could stare for hours at the watch.
This specific movement finish is very attractive and adds to the uniqueness of the design.
Yes,the original version was a manual wound watch and some might argue that this is the more obvious choice for such a watch.
The automatic movement used for this model is however on a very advanced technological level and then, is this not one of the coolest rotors out there?
The backside movement finish is not bad either.
Thanks for looking,
Gerard
