Breguet Tradition 7097 4y review
One of my favourite watches has been with me for 4 years now: The Breguet 7097 is one of these watches that doesn't go unnoticed and is never boring.
The movement is constantly alive and I love the fact that is automatic with retrograde seconds. I found the 40mm size perfect (given that the dial area is pretty modest). Is a true classic with the modern addition of the automatic movement (with an amazing rotor straight from the Breguet archives of pocket watches).
I recall seeing the 7092 when I bought my first expensive watch (a Breguet marine, over 15 years ago!) and admiring how beautiful the "tradition" was. Another plus of this watch and Breguet watches in general is that -- at least for now -- there is no crazy waiting list to join: you just walk in and can buy the watch. Plain and simple as it should be with luxury watches (because luxury should also be reflected in the experience).
I found this watch to very elegant and unique. With many watches in my collection none is like the Breguet Tradition 7097. The Rose gold/brown strap combination is superb. The finish is at the highest standard. A true masterpiece (and I love the fact that breguet adds the number on the dial. A touch of exclusivity).
Under appreciated and a watch for "connoiseurs" that are looking for something truly special.

240 winding
great detail about the patek 240. any theories about this winding behavior or is it just par for the course for microrotors in general?
Many micro rotors seem to suffer from inconsistent winding, but not all.
Some early Piaget models had a lot of problems. But I hear the recent models are very problem free. I wonder if anyone with a Chopard 1.96 have any problems.

white gold is very nice too ! I think the benefit of this watch is that
is unlike any other you will ever see. I believe people want what they can't get so this might explain why. I luckily bought many watches in 2015-2017 where it was really possible to get pretty much everything with minimal or no wait.
