2010 Gentleman's Driver Offshore
Here is one some of you might not have seen. Small Royal Oak Offshore run in 2010. I loved the colors, bezel, and tach. A little confusing are the decisions to color the perimeter of the continuous seconds and chronograph minute counter subdials, and the small end of the chronograph seconds hand. I would have preferred coordinating the chronograph counters with an all orange seconds hand, and that would also balance the dial better, IMO.
Nonetheless, and interesting nugget in the Offshore history. And if memory serves, a similar version with red was also offered.

I have never seen an RO OS with the "relieved" bezel such as this. What is the diameter of the case?
I was discussing this with a friend earlier. AP used to thrive on individuality.
And they still do with highly complicated pieces. But outside of the CODE Starwheel, what have we seen recently with unique detailing like a Survivor or Barrichello? Or even movement based rarities like the regatta countdown timers on the Polaris / carbon...

I remember how at the time there was massive ROO LE fatigue. I do remember this was one of my favorites from that period.
Yes, there was a lot of complaining about it.
Mostly about the re-dialing of chronographs, dealer editions, etc. Somehow AP got away from offering at least 1 cool and unique Offshore each year. I think the new 43mm End of Days says it all. To me, it is just another 43mm Offshore. To call it an "End o...

all that being said, the montauk highway has probably accumulated the greatest total wrist time of anything i own.
I was offered that, but no, it never called to me.
The Sincere Offshores were some of my favorite dealer / region pieces. The Amsterdam Offshore looked cool, never seen that one live. And the Gstaad Classic, which I have posted on in the past.
