Live from SalonQP in London, the first pictures of the Daniels Smith anniversary watch
Nov 11, 2010,15:02 PM
Good to see both Roger Smith and George Daniels in attendence at the event. I will write more about the event later, but definitely the star of the show, the Daniels Smith Anniversary watch with co-axial escapement. The drawings of the watch did not exactly light my fire, but the watch itself is stunning. My congrats to the lucky few who are on the list. It will be worth the wait.
Also on show was a Roger Smith Series 2 open face dial which with the blued hands is a stunner and to my mind his best work to date. Great to see both esteemed watchmakers at the Salon.
More later
Andrew H
PS sorry about the poor quality of the watch pictures, only I had to take them through glass with spot lighting overhead.

Roger's wife Caroline recently sent me these... this a new 40mm case size for RW Smith And here are some live pics I took in July of an original size case Open Dial Series 2 in a RG execution, the first version Roger had ever made... Cheers, Tim...
My goodness, Tim. That is stunning.

I have to agree with Don. I don't know much about Roger's work, but this is my favorite of what I have seen. Best, CaliforniaJed

Talk about a dedicated and focused fellow, pursuing his passion of traditional English style watchmaking under his own terms, well almost his own, having Dr. Daniels to focus his attention and comfort for advice if and when needed. I'd say the other aspec...
