Hi, A decade ago I had the same issue.. Pre-Steelinox I believe. It happened when I dropped some acid on the clasp! Looks like the same kind of issue. I only managed to get it off when I sent my Rolex in for a total polish/service. Cheers.

I remember distinctly that Patek used to sell their movements only to retailers in the early days. It was because of tax reasons and such, especially to North America. Shouldn't there in this case be heaps of movements which are not officially cased...
