Description

An extremely rare and large triple register Military Chronograph with the highly coveted JB Cal. 40 Movement, often seen in the Gallet's & Girard Perregaux's.
At close to 38mm it is a larger and very desirable version comparing to the usual 36mm.
It is in very nice condition from the original dial, hands to the St. Steel unpolished case and well working Chronograph.
Note the HF which stands for Huguenin Frères famous Swiss case maker engraving on the underside of the upper right lug.
Comes still with its original cardboard box where it spent most of its time.
Thank you for looking and interest and feel free to ask any questions.

📖 About This Reference

The Excelsior Park Chronograph represents the brand's vintage chronograph offering from the mid-20th century production era. Part of the Vintage Chronograph series, this manual-wind timepiece showcases the manufacturer's approach to sports timing during the 1940s through 1960s period. The 38mm steel case houses the manual-winding Cal. 40 movement, delivering between 42 to 50 hours of power reserve. The silver dial sits beneath an acrylic crystal, while a smooth bezel completes the case design. Water resistance extends to 30 meters, and the watch pairs with a leather strap for daily wear. This reference appeals to collectors focused on mid-century chronograph complications and those seeking accessible vintage sports watches. The 38mm case size aligns with period-appropriate proportions, while the manual movement and acrylic crystal maintain authentic vintage specifications. The reference serves collectors interested in lesser-known Swiss chronograph manufacturers from the classic era of mechanical timing instruments.

Vintage Girard Perregaux Olimpico Ref 9075.
I never had the chance to get one. High in my list. Cool looking vintage Chronograph, with a great movement inside ( Excelsior Park ). Best, Nicolas

Zenith Vintage Chronograph 143-6.
Some pictures of this lovely vintage Zenith Chrono, housing a Cal 143-6... I wonder if it is not an Excelsior Park movement, by the way. I am not an expert in vintage Zenith watches, but I think some of these were issued to the Yugoslavian Army. Always a pleasure to see stuff like this, even if this

Excelsior Park Swedish Army Chronograph.
Credit picture: Watches of Knightbridge. It is not only a very nice chronograph with an excellent manual winding in house movement ( EP 4, if my memory serves me well ), it is also a watch I didn't suspect it was used by the Swedish Army. It was auctioned some 6 months ago, and I sadly missed it. Be

I think I had promised last week to post a family portrait of the CP-1 and CP-2 type military watches. Well, here you are. Hope you like it.
The three Heuers are obviously "Bund" versions (plain, 3H, Sternzeit Reguliert) and the two on the left and the one at the front are Italian Army versions. What is quite interesting is the comparably small size of the Breitling 817. It is also the only one that goes on a 18mm strap. As the the cases

Excelsior Park Chronograph for the Self Defense Japanese Air Force.
Here is a Chronograph I missed... I was waiting to see, a bit, as it was out of my budget. It has everything I like: A superb tropical dial, a great movement ( EP 4 ), and history. 37 mm case. Credit pictures: Analog and Shift. Should I add, the condition... Look at this case! Fate is not always on
