WristScan 5/25/2017: Show us your favorite watch cases!

May 25, 2017,09:53 AM

For some reason, the bezel is a very special component on a watch for me.  The interface between the bezel and crystal, the decorative elements, and the thickness....it either makes or breaks the purchasing decision for me.

Here are two watches with unique bezels and cases.:

The Villemont Ultime bezel with the custom design motif and the body of the case cradled by the lugs. It is not obvious in the picture but in the metal the interplay between the brushed surfaces of the case and the highly polished edges really pop !

Graham watches are also rarely seen on the forums:

The bezel on this is watch has a convex surface so it slopes up in direct opposition to the crystal.  The Trigger crown also makes this case very unique.

One of my most fun watches.

What special watch case do you have?

HAGWE, Mike

 By: mkt33 : May 26th, 2017-04:41
A highly functional case that can withstand the elements but makes not look like a "tool watch". Just out of curiosity are you laying down in a hammock for that photo? warmest, Mike

Great shot/case, but....

By: blomman Mr Blue : May 26th, 2017-10:13
Is the case really a compressor case? Or just the crown? My memory is failing... Best Blomman

We regret it! [nt]

Hi all! I've chosen this picture, never published on the Internet, because it shows some of the 349SPORT's subtle distinctive traits. The overall asymmetry, the signs of the machine on the titanium (look the bezel at 7!) and the concave carrure, for examp...

You had a very bold vision

 By: mkt33 : May 26th, 2017-06:04
Thanks for sharing that special picture! It is not easy to pull off an asymmetic design but you did it. The subtle changes catch your eye, initially I thought it was just perspective or angle of the camera causing those changes, but know that I know it is...

You're right, Mike...
