Thanks everyone for their patience...it was a double whammy this weekend.
I think my software mistake deleted some entries and it was also Memorial Day weekend here in the US so it was hard to get people to confirm as judges!
But it was an awesome week of scans in my humble opinion.
For the wristshot of the week, Bulentvural93 stepped up to the plate to serve.
Here is his verdict
"Hi Mike, I chose the wristshot of RichardN with his Breguet Marine. I hope there is no mistake in chosing that one. Thank you for giving me a chance as I am in love with horology, Best Regards, Bulent"
Thanks Bulent and congrats to Richard. BTW there are no such things as mistakes when there were so many great wristscans to choose from. Glad you can share your passions here.
Next the judge for static photo is Jeviar_Dfirst. Jev had a hard decision but a final last minute entry sealed his verdict.
It is obvious he had a hard job so here are his runnerups and winner .
" Hey Mike,
What an honor to be one of the guest judges this week I'm not sure if I could wait some more time for the members to submit
their entries, but for the meanwhile here's some of my favorite. (Gosh it's really hard to choose!
For the honourable mention, first I choose nilo's ploprof for the stunning composition involved with the case, the mesh bracelet that match with the background, and the sky reflected on the glasses
Second, this urwerk, the case design is pretty provocative in every angle and in this particular angle, the watch just seems like it's screaming "vroom vroom" with the crown as the exhaust.
And for the third runner up, the moser concept shot. Just wow, those allures, that reflection, the details on the side of the case that usually pretty discreet from the front view, it's just awesome!
Now for the winners
Third place goes to Alkiro's zeitwerk shot! It's like the oak nutrients just being soak up by the zeitwerk to produce the best and sweetest product
from the nature. Sounds exaggerated but well where's the fun without that
Second place belongs to this PP cabriolet shot! What a watch, what a very unusual case shape, it's just seems like it was laid like a treasure in the middle of the jungle awaits for anyone to discover it.
And the winner for Static photo of the week is Geo. What an incredible case shape and even it's affecting the shape of the
strap it self. And that guilloche dial in this shot really brings out
its effect, it's very hypnotic and makes me want to stare at it for
hours.... Which is not an easy job to catch that effect on the camera.
> I think that's what my conclusion for now, feel free to edit as well if there's any words that perhaps "just too much", as English is not my first
language. And thank you for the participants for this week wristscan, love all of your shots actually but it's hard when it's time to make decisions. Once again thanks for the honor and have a nice weekend!
Regards
> Jev
Thanks Jev and congrats to all the runner ups and winners!
Finally for the watch of the week...I am going to step in and be the moderator judge since it was a holiday weekend.
my choice is Mike H's VC Mercator....almost got my hand on one of these a few years back when a fellow mod offered me his for sale, I hesitated and missed out. :-(
