....with the Vacheron 222 "Jumbo" or, properly named: reference 44018 / 411 with a Vacheron 1121 movement inside (based on JLC 920).

The watch was produced from 1977 - 1981. The "Jumbo" all-steel-version was produced 500 times with case numbers 52'20'00 to 52'24'99. According to the extract of archives my watch was manufactured in an early batch as its manufacture date is 1977 and according to the case number it was among the first 100 produced.

Vacheron produced the Jumbo also in gold/steel (120 pieces) and all-gold (100 pieces).

Cheers, HSTE

HSTE has an awesome collection; not only the 4 musketeers but also batman, captain nemo and so on ( i've invented the name just to describe the black 5402, IWC ytach club, etc) ;-)

Oh, wow, thanks for remembering what you call batman, captain nemo etc., I love these names!!!!

But yes: I am greatful to be able to wear "Karl", or the IWC YC automatic and many other watches that were un-reachable grails back in time when I grew up and today they look all at me when I go on my weekly routine to the bank safety deposit and they beg...

Thank you for sharing

Do you have the production numbers for the non-Jumbo versions, too? Like the all-steel square model, for instance

My friend, you have impeccable taste and....
