The Gefica from April till today..patina (picture)
Jul 17 2007,17:11 PM

I have kept it unworn for a month. Placed on my desk, after wearing it almost daily for several months.

It has a matt appearance, very "wood" like in nature, as if the case was carved from a heavy, solid piece of teakwood. Very unusual, it does not even look like metal, a very very pleasing and strangely "zen" like quality of serenity about it.

Now, when the first pieces arrive in Singapore for Tempus, we MUST compare them!

Indeed this Gefica tells...

the living condition of the wearer... imagine what it will look like for someone who is staying near to the coastal area with his/her window open...it may not be woody though.

Thanks for the pic, Bernard, would you have a side shot  from the crown side?

A comparison is definitely in order

I think the "woody" colour would make it very very "traditional' like those old urns ;-)

you know Mr Cheong, it was your lengthy report on this piece that has allowed to further appreciate it's uniqueness, and has pushed me to go out and purchase one. thank you!

i hope you enjoy your GEFICA and it's evolution.

Whenever..we have got to meet one day.

If at Basel or in Singapore.

This is a very very unique work. In today's competitive environment for unique watch pieces ..and I mean truly unique, not a colored dial or things like that...the Gefica is arguably the ONLY one that is below $45,000!

Also...it will be rare. We are not going to see many. I would say about 1/10 the number of that of Roger D tourbillons!
