Symbol and protagonist of the classic competitions in the 1960s.

(Stainless Steel Version, 2000 pieces limited edition)

GIRARD-PERREGAUX is dedicating a new timepiece to one of the most fascinating models ever made by the Maranello company: the FERRARI 330/P4 sport prototype, winner of the World Constructors Championship in 1967.

This series of competitions included such highly prestigious events as the Daytona 24 Hours, the Le Mans 24 Hours, the Monza 1000 kilometres, the Spa Francorchamps 1000 kilometres and the mythical Targa Florio road race in Sicily.

With his 330/P4 model, Enzo Ferrari was determined to confirm the competitiveness of his own cars in a trial of strength with the leading American manufacturers who at the time were challenging the Maranello Scuderia on its own chosen competition scene: the World Constructors Championship. At the end of the year 1967, Enzo Ferrari won his bet with the P4 which took the title with triumphs at both Daytona and Monza together with high rankings in many other races.

The group of racing drivers who took their place behind the wheel of the P4 in the championship included the finest professionals and ?gentlemen drivers? of the day: Chris Amon, Lorenzo Bandini, Jean Guichet, Mike Parkes, David Piper, Willy Mairesse, Pedro Rodriguez, Jackie Stewart, Ludovico Scafiotti and Nino Vacarella.

(White Gold case, limited to 150 pieces only)

In the framework of the cooperation agreements which have united the Manufacturer in La Chaux-de-Fonds with Ferrari for the past ten years, the GIRARD-PERREGAUX 330/P4 self-winding chronograph pays homage to a car which became a hallmark of the golden age of classical endurance competitions: thirty-five years after its creation, the P4 still fascinates us with it?s unique beauty and sensuous lines of its bodywork.

For this new chronograph, Girard-Perregaux has created a round and streamlined watch case, now a ?great classic? for sports watches, which draws on a similar inspiration to the Ferrari P4, queen of the endurance competitions of the 60s.
