SLA 017 on Vintage Tropic Strap

Jul 21, 2017,13:25 PM

I swapped out the diamond rubber strap for a tropic, which really suits this watch. The diamond strap is quite nice, but I really love that that tropic is thinner, shorter and has a vintage look which goes perfectly with the 62 MAS design.

I think I dislike the original rubber strap that comes with this piece, so I love the replacement you chose! I had the good fortune to pick up the last four 19mm Phoenix G10 straps from mickie500. Apparently they were the surplus from a one-time special o...

Really cool choice...

Watch and strap both. Unfortunately it will only hit stores in Austria in August it seems. Curious if the AD will even get any... Really like the current Seiko and GS re-Editions generally - quite well done 👍🏻

the boutiques and GS dealers seem to be the ones receiving an allotment.

That looks great. I'd love to get one myself but, as you've said in another post, the originals are hard to come by.

I still have mine on the rubber strap the watch arrived on. It's fine although I'll probably get a 19mm NATO or two at some point. Still haven't tried the bracelet yet. Enjoy!

did you have to switch to a thinner spring bar?

Nope. It fits

Just takes some effort to get it in place but it works.

i've had tropics split when forcing the fat springbar thru, so i now use a thinner bar.
