All thanks to the help of a fellow purists gentleman based in Japan smile

I can't resist not having this grand seiko in my collection, especially when everyone is having one.  This is a perfect companion to my Eichi 2 smile

I don't think everyone has one of those!

Congratulations - it looks superb! Kind regards, Gerald.

The new one looks very similar....

It's just a matter of one's preference to the size for this piece. The new one even has blue steeled second hand and a few thousand below $10k, probably a much better proposition.

The issue with the re-release for me...

... is that (on the steel one at least), it is missing the Chronometer text and the Suwa factory logo on the dial. As a collector of vintage GS, the new steel dials look very empty without this as I'm so used to the originals. This one is in steel, yes? K...

Yes, steel.

Curious why are you selling yours?

If you are collecting all the varied 3180, it will make sense to keep this SS version in your collection.

Not all of them :)

Hi - It's basically down to money. I don't have unlimited resources, and now that I have a great filled gold print example, I don't feel the need to hang onto the SS. I'd rather have that money to put into other watches for the collection. After two years...

I see...

a pity to let go such a rare watch in a collection. I think the 'dubious' and mysterious nature of such watch is worthy in your big collection. Monetary wise, I don't see how this will cause any dent in your pocket. Nevertheless, I hope your watch will go...

Glad you got yours! It's so you.. :-)
