Friends should never let friends wear a NATO - so this is not a recommendation what to do to your Seiko SRPA21 ;)

Our dear Nilo is generally shocked by putting beloved tic-tacs on the most workmanlike of straps - the military inspired NATO ones. So I hope you forgive me, Nilo. smile At the same time, I was bored and looking to experiment a bit, and here are some results. The watch in question is the Seiko Prospex SRPA21 (better known as the PADI Turtle).

In terms of summer wear, I generally prefer something lighter than the robust but by no means featherweight stainless steel bracelet, so I started looking for some options a while ago. And while the first experiments yielded some interesting results (here: www.watchprosite.com for pictures), I was not fully satisfied with what came out. The current option I like much better.

Even though the colour may match, I would not suggest this seriously as an office wear watch wink But for the beach or the weekend, I find the wave pattern white / blue NATO works perfectly with the blue dial and Pepsi bezel of the Seiko Turtle.

At the same time I have some further experiments up my sleeve (no pterodactyl for this one, though) smile

Thanks for viewing!

Suits the informal style of the watch. Have you thought about rubber straps? Think a blue one would work well. Interested to see your other options Cheers JML

Not really sure about rubber...

While the Seiko ones are super supple, I still am not a fan of the material on my wrist. Personal preference I gues...

Thanks Bill :)

The shirt was somewhat coincidental but given that most of my shirts have some blue...

Well, again my friend... an excellent choice for me.

I love how you think out of the box when we talk about straps (and tartares too of course). To be honest, I'm not able to do that so thumb up again. Best wishes Alkiro

Thanks for your encouragement, Alkiro!
