What to choose?

Hi everyone,

I currently have a daytona (which was and remains a dream watch of mine). In addition I have a Panerai (8 day reserve) and I am now in the market for another watch.

It will be a rolex and for some time I have been thinking of buying a submariner date - however I have recently tried a batman GMT. I am now confused! The submariner is the classic tool watch and as it will be worn mostly at weekends and casually fits the bill, however the batman could do that plus also be worn during the working week with a suit.

I am a modest collector, but like to wear my watches not keep them in the safe for investment value.

Any thoughts guys?

Personally not a fan of the 'Batman' GMT but others seem to love it so if it speaks to you then try it on and see what you think Andy.

Agree with waiting for Basel.

It's just a few weeks away and at the very least it will be interesting to see what Rolex releases. I have the BLNR and it's my most worn watch as it's the one I wear most days to the office. It has a very "Rolex modern" design (substantial case, lugs, fo...

I am highly biased, I own a Daytona as well but recently fell in love with the Explorer II, its a good compromise between a GMT being "fancy", so far I'm 20 some days in with the Explorer II

in our contest as well, I hope I will outlast all GMT is amazing but if you want something a tad between that isn't too fancy, go Explorer II ...

Personally I don't like the shade of the blue (looks too purple to my eye), and the all black looks more like a tool watch, which I prefer.

I think the same about the GMT Pepsi in ceramic. Somehow the bright colors in ceramic (red and blue) don\'t work as well to me as the darker ones-- black, brown Just my opinion as I know many love the Batman.

I'll have to see the Batman in person now...

I've been considering trading my all black GMT-M2C for a Batman to get a little more color in my collection. Maybe not now...

Red Black or Red Blue? [nt]

I\'m hoping that a ceramic version is released at Basel in a few weeks and that it is in steel and the colors look good and truer to the original (and not cartoonish)

Same hope, Descartes... [nt]
