Rolex bracelet service.

Sep 22, 2016,23:31 PM

As we all know the wear and tear on a 20 or 30 year old bracelet can take its toll. Mostly stretch.

The good news is that you can have the bracelets restored to remove the slack.

The down side is they tend to come back a little sticky and need to be worn in to feel comfortable again.

I recently had a dozen spare bracelets sent to Michael Young who works out of Hong Kong. He has a great reputation but it is up to you to judge.  Not sure how many are still done in house.

Feel free to share your thoughts.

Wow, Bill, is this the Reserve du Patron, or bracelets which came with your watches?

To answer your question, it seems that the work done on these bracelets is great. That you have to wear them before they become comfortable is not really a problem. Good to know! Best, Nicolas

Some of these are C&I but they fit nice on both subs 5512, 5513 and 1675.

The C&I are the one with no stamp on the end links made and sold in the U.S back in the day. The Swiss made 7206 have a nicer feel and are more sturdy in general. The weight on the C&I is less but they really are a great alternative to the Swiss made for ...

Excellent I have a few spare bracelets

Nice and comfy. ...

How is the tightening accomplished?

I\'m curious of how the tightening is done. Is the bracelet disassembled and the connecting pieces (pinion, bar, "axle"?--not sure of the name) replaced? Cheers, John

Yes that sounds about right.

The have certain tools that allow them to work on the bracelets. Mostly straightening things out and replacing pins.

At least i wont run out of bracelets.
