Rolex GMT MASTER 116 7xx series... This or that...Or those?

 By: amanico : May 19th, 2017-09:12
Steel Blue / Black versus White Gold Blue Red? Steel Black versus White Gold Red Blue? White metal? Or... Yellow Gold Black or Green Dial? Ok, I forgot the jeweled version and the two tone one. Still, there is enough choice here. What's your preference? B...

I'm leaning towards

 By: KamalRostov : May 19th, 2017-09:19
either white gold or steel with red and blue. Preferably white gold.

For me...only two here that I like...

 By: Baron - Mr Red : May 19th, 2017-09:24
.....the WG red & blue and the steel Batman. And i have to say, I may prefer the R&B

Pepsi wins! [nt]

 By: Ares501 - Mr Green : May 19th, 2017-09:30

Had the Batman twice and sold it twice.

 By: Pretty Boy : May 19th, 2017-09:32
Wouldn't buy any of them anymore. The YG with green dial doesn't look bad though ;-). Best, Volker

BLNR [nt]

 By: Skyrider01 : May 19th, 2017-09:33

They are very appealing

By: Mark in Paris : May 19th, 2017-10:04
Aesthetically speaking, my favorite is the white gold "Pepsi" version. As a buyer, it would be too heavy I think for me. I like the 2-tone for the old school spirit, even though I wouldn't wear it as too visible where I live. However, I think I like them ...

Indeed :) [nt]

Steel blue/black bezel

 By: Poky : May 19th, 2017-10:08
I do not understand the concept of a sports watch in gold- yellow is a definite no, far too bling for me.

Since Red/Blue steel isn't in current production ...

 By: JohnFM : May 19th, 2017-10:40
... I'd vote Black/Blue steel due to price, then Red/Blue WG.

Pepsi dial it is...

 By: mahesh : May 19th, 2017-12:52
Steel would be dear to my wallet... Hope Rolex launches a Pepsi & a Coke in steel soon. Best, mahesh.,

Hope Rolex market intelligence

 By: mahesh : May 20th, 2017-09:48
tumbles upon your poll ;-) would love a pepsi in steel ! Best, mahesh.,

Same hopes here. [nt]

 By: amanico : May 20th, 2017-09:51

let's make the wish complete...

 By: mahesh : May 20th, 2017-13:02
with brushed center links too ;-) guess the 'flashy center link' is the only thing I don't like in a gmt master today. Best, mahesh.,

I've got the same dilemma.

 By: afl : May 19th, 2017-13:14
But after coming and going almost for a year, I pulled the trigger. BLNR wins. Long live Batman! ...

I'm a big fan of the Rolex GMT models.

 By: willski : May 19th, 2017-13:38
I picked up my 116710BLNR in 2013 and it is by far the watch I wear the most. Movement is rock solid and (seemingly) very reliable, good looks and construction, and a very useful complication - it's just a very solid watch and not exorbitantly priced. I w...

Agreed.

 By: willski : May 22nd, 2017-20:32
A nice 1675 would go well with the BLNR

I'm waiting for COKE in steel...

 By: GhostInTheMachine : May 19th, 2017-13:52
It may just be a mirage...

+1, here. [nt]

 By: amanico : May 20th, 2017-04:57

My choice.....

 By: john c : May 19th, 2017-18:32
.....Yellow Gold Green Dial. Just beautiful. John.

If pressed, plain steel Black bezel.

 By: zabreg1 Mr White : May 19th, 2017-20:34
WG is too much.

Batman!

 By: Horologically_minded : May 19th, 2017-21:05
But if money was not a consideration, Pepsi for sure! J

I'm thinking they have yet to come out with "the"

 By: Echi : May 20th, 2017-05:22
Quintessential modern GMT. A steel Pepsi would probably be it but they have to get the red and blue right (along with other things). They really need to marry the pan am spirit with whatever modern aviation is today. Somehow the pan am days had a globetro...

I appreciate qualities of a ceramic bezel..

 By: Echi : May 20th, 2017-07:02
But I really don't mind the usual steel insert so that it can get scratched 😁 ceramic is just too sterile for me

I see! +1 [nt]

 By: amanico : May 20th, 2017-09:29

Pepsi WG

 By: MTR : May 20th, 2017-15:10
for me. Tried it a few months ago and like the weight and substance and warm colour tone. Green dial combined with WG would also be an intriguing and tempting option for me. Perhaps Rolex will produce this variation one day? Best, Thomas

All great choices...

 By: TimeOnHand : July 23rd, 2017-10:10
My favourite would have to be the YG Black Dial... but its a watch that will get a lot of attention! So my second choice would be the WG Pepsi! But can't beat the SS Black Dial when it comes to value for $$.

All gold or all steel for me, not a fan of bi-metal version.

 By: patrick_y : July 23rd, 2017-21:16
I'd get either the all gold with green dial or the all steel with blue/black bezel.

Batman for me!

 By: Greenwatch : July 25th, 2017-07:46
The first bi color bezel and love the color combo!

Steel and black

 By: Harry2 : July 25th, 2017-10:23
Nice and plain. I wish they'd stop polishing so much!

Rolex would be much more attractive for me

 By: Harry2 : July 25th, 2017-11:04
If their steel sports watches had more brushing like they used to.

If only! [nt]

 By: Harry2 : July 25th, 2017-11:19

Hello Nicolas!! I am waiting for the steel red and blue bezel, but I am told Rolex will never...

 By: Subexplorer : July 25th, 2017-14:28
... offer this configuration for it would kill the red/blue white gold version. It makes sense to me. Most probably I would go for the steel/all black bezel version. I love the gold /green dial variant too, but too costly and not very wearable in my land....

Here we go

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : July 29th, 2017-13:13
The white gold Pepsi is too flat (the colors). The 'Batman' (stupid nickname because the Batman logo is black/yellow) is too cold and its nicknames annoy me. The GMT black bezel is a little bit boring. The yellow gold green dial would be my choice I guess...

Good point

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : July 29th, 2017-23:29
And you are right. That would be best next step.

Best not then 😉 [nt]

 By: Arie - Mr Orange : July 30th, 2017-01:02

;) [nt]

 By: amanico : July 30th, 2017-01:37

The Black/Blue bezel is growing on me...

 By: Hahnpaulo : July 31st, 2017-15:01
but the WG Pepsi is in a class of its own - in steel it would be killer though

Red/blue white gold for me

 By: emcquillan : July 31st, 2017-20:29
but even though I love it I never take the leap. When I compare the white gold Pepsi to other watches in the same bracket I just can't commit.

I've owned the Batman

 By: emcquillan : August 2nd, 2017-09:17
A very nice watch I bought as soon as it came out, but it just wasn't a keeper for me. When I was very young I wore a black shirt and blue jacket and a very pretty young woman said they don't match. She ruined it for me. Lol.

True story? ;) [nt]

 By: amanico : August 2nd, 2017-13:34

Yes 100% true my friend

 By: emcquillan : August 2nd, 2017-18:39
Besides a very dark navy suit and black shoes I never mix black and blue because of her. Another attractive young woman in University told me button down dress shirts don't go with ties. Guess what? I haven't worn a button down since . Haven't been given ...

Keep me posted. ;-) [nt]

 By: amanico : August 4th, 2017-12:55

BLNR for me please [nt]

Late vote on GMT

Thanks! [nt]
