Richard Mille

Richard Mille has just unveiled a new version of the RM07 and RM037 which are smaller references than the ones we are used to seeing here as they are dedicated to the ladies.

Not that admiring watches made for woman is a passion but I always thought that ladies' watches are usually declinaison of men's references. Richard Mille has provided ladies with a very nice combination of references that bring a totally different piece and style from the men's collection and, hence, atmosphere, but keeping the watch refined and elegant for a lady.

The novelty we are talking about now is based on these two references but not only they bring NTPT Carbon material to the watch, which is quite a difficult task as it is more difficult to craft for thinner watches, smaller parts (harder and more technical the material is, harder it is to work, especially considering the brand's low production output), but it is the first time we see that NTPT Carbon case set with gems.

You can certainly imagine the difficulty it represents to craft those spaces for setting the gems without braking the material. Much harder than steel, gold or platinum.

It is in that case the best of both worlds, luxury and resistance, as this is clearly not a fragile watch and is meant to be worn in any circumstances the wearer wishes to face.

Women are wearing watches differently nowadays than a few decades ago as gem-set watches were usually worn during well-dressed dinners. Today (and tomorrow) ladies looking for this kind of jewelery are much more modern and up-to-date and getting a gem-set decoration into these black NTPT cases are just what today is about.

That's how I see things as being observing the brand since quite a little while now.

As a reminder, they are both automatic wound (in-house caliber).

A very interesting addition to both references IMHO, and I thought it deserved a little post
