Question On Piaget Classique 9035N History & Piaget Finishing?

Jan 20, 2018,14:35 PM

Hi All!

New to watchprosite, and just bought myself a lovely ultrathin Piaget 9035N, which I believe is under the Classique line. I was wondering if any Piaget experts could give me any advice on this Piaget predecessor to the Altiplano line - the Classique (or so I believe, I may and probably am wrong), with the 9035N reference. When was this watch released? Any more detail on this specific line would be really valued! Always good to know the history behind your pieces to give them new life! Will publish some pictures from the seller I bought it from. The dial is also extremely glossy - making me wonder (perhaps quite foolishly and optimistically) that it's enameled or made of some high-shine material?

An answer regarding the detail and finishing of Piaget's watches would be lovely - how does Piaget's 9P, 9P2 and modern 430P movement finishing compare to the other haute horology manufacturers? (thinking PP, VC and AP) What are your  opinions?

Loving being part of the Piaget club!

The pictures of it can be found under these links:

.. with the ultrathin hand wind movement 9P2, which is the advanced caliber from 9P. Well, as for finish, just my guess and assumption - Piaget was founded as a movement manufacturer and it has total confidence in movement making, and now it is also a jew...

Thanks
