Good bye, Piaget Boutique (at least from Brazil) ...

Jan 06, 2017,06:05 AM

Team,

As part of the major economic crisis that afflicts Brazil, associated with the not that good results from Richemont group (and all Swiss brands), Piaget Boutique closed the doors last December 31st.

I feel very bad for this, because of several factors:

1) The Boutique manager, Mrs. J., is IMHO the best sales person that I ever shop. Sensible, professional, friendly ... I can keep writing over and over about her outstanding qualities.

2) The brand, with an amazing quality and fine designs, deserves much more. I consider Piaget watches as part of the Big Three.

3) I love their watches.

I don't plan to have any other Piaget watch. It will be some sort of homage to the late Boutique, to Mrs. J. and her team.

As a farewell to the Boutique and the team, here are my four Piaget watches, by the order that I got each one.

Piaget Emperador Coussin Regulateur

Piaget Altiplano Chronograph

Piaget 900p

Piaget p10710 Polo

I will miss those evenings at the Piaget Boutique, discussing movements, quality and enjoying the company.

Thanks for seeing.

Peace,

Nilo

Don\'t they are all nuts? Nilo

It's always a sad news the closure of a store,

and it is even sadder to have the feeling that it will be a trend. Personally, I hope that the brands (in general) choose the less easy path of the rediscovery of the art of watchmaking, rather than the simple way of cutting costs. As rightly say, the big...

Hope Piaget will be back in the future when Brazilian economy and Horology will recover

It is a special brand with real quality behind it. Movements are real in-house and top notch compared to any other manufacturer's, bar none. Designs are undisputedly special as well. All the very best Nilo, Alex

A real shame...

Such a great brand and always something lost when such steps are taken. Hope the branch manager and the rest of the staff find suitable employment elsewhere. Thanks for sharing your fabulous Piagets, Nilo!

Always sad news when friends loose the jobs.

I hope they will all land on their feet and you will continue to enjoy the quality of their service albeit under potentially a new brand. Bill

What a shame!

Let's hope the overall market rebounds and bring them (and others) back!

That's sad news

Thank you for sharing your story and showing us your amazing Piaget collection! That must feel bad that the place and the people you used to go to, is not there anymore. GEO

No problem! Geneve is no far... [nt]
