News Item: Photographic portrait prize awarded to image without a face...

According to the Sydney Morning Herald the 2017 Olive Cotton Award was thus awarded (link).

In fact, according to the article on 27-July, the 'portrait' did not even use a camera ; )

Any thoughts...

I do think that this is s little strange though.

Beyond weird, I know interpretive art but this is like going to buy a car and coming back with some aged chedder. I get the symbolism but if they really didn't want a portrait don't
