World timers are indeed special....

Encountered this piece unique 5130P on the internet (picture credit @simonsfeir) and wanted to share it here as I find it quite extraordinary.

Doha version with airport codes instead of cities and gorgeous guillouche center and hands at that!

Am I the only one who finds this piece spectacular?

I had no idea that existed!

Certainly improves legibility...

1/1 so not likely to run into this very often I suspect!

I am quite certain....

as it belongs to a very esteemed and established collector who has quite a few piece unique watches from Patek as well as other very high end manufacturers.

Pretty cool.

Is it a 5130 or a 5110? And I notice London and New York didn't get special treatment. Too many airports, I guess!

Okay.

I like it a lot. Very cool looking WT.

And very well legible dial too. Best, Volker

Really cool and very readable.

I would prefer LHR for London and JFK for NYC. Those are still the biggest airports of the cities in question. Best, Kari

Yes I can see that actual airport codes could be more useful... but would likely make some cities tough to recognize...

But I too would have preferred airport codes... CDG, LHR, JFK, NRT, CCS, and so on...

Cool, but odd mix of city abbreviations and airport codes.

Why DXB and LAX but NYC and LON? The dial, hands, and city ring proportion are clearly 5110-esque rather than 5130. Best, Brandon

Hi Keks, thanks for introducing this piece unique ! It is really unique because of the mixture of...

I understand the appeal...

But find cities more romantic / magical. This one is a bit “technical” for me. Thanks for sharing! Echi

Don’t disagree

But can’t deny the coolness of having factory made special editions like this. Especially when it is a piece unique. Quirky and cool. I really like the silver gray tone of the center dial I must admit. Even if the standard color on the 5110P is more roman...

Not a big fan of PP

I am fairly certain this is not aftermarket. PP does special things occasionally for privileged clients...

Love the improved legibility...def a 5110P...

Be nice if they did this again...for those of us who collect WT be a great addition

I agree.

Personally struggle reading cities on my WT when on the wrist! But perhaps not the most important aspect of it I suppose!
