New Acquisition! 5035G

Feb 20, 2017,04:58 AM

I am extremely happy to be able to acquire this beautiful 5035G in very good condition (serviced in 2014) today!

And I am even more happy that the PP service centre DO have few short straps for me.  Eventually I went for a Burgundy coloured one and I hope it works.

With this short strap I could put it on my wrist immediately and of course, share few photos with you! As usual I think photos do not do justice to the beauty of Patek Philippe watches, they look ALWAYS way better in metal!

Cheers
Nigel

Nice watch. Never thought about using anything other than a black strap with the one I have. Looks like burgundy makes it more casual. Hope you continue to enjoy it as I have mine.

Congratulations for this catch :)

This is a very unusual version of the traditional AC layout. I'm sure you'll enjoy it very much, especially while playing with different strap colours. I'm glad you decided to share your pleasure with us. Have a nice week wearing it Nigel! Best, Mark

If you're refering to the dial layout then some historical perspective should be considered.

As you know, Patek was the first to introduce the AC complication when the 5035 was released 20+ years ago. While many versions of the AC dial layout have come and gone since, the 5035 will always be the first, and while perhaps the layout is a bit dated ...

Mark, I saw some information that this silver dial is a relatively rare version...

especially compare to the black dial (I might be wrong) and it only had a short production time. Anyway I am loving every bit of it. Very solid, classic and I think with the Burgundy strap it could be quite versitale.

Beautiful. Congratulations [nt]

Why "IV" and not IIII like every other Patek Philippe serial reference with Romans?

Dear Nigel
