5370P

Lucky to have acquired such a fine piece. This forum skews one's view of the world because it seems like so many people own this watch, (I believe at least five people active on this forum own one)....yet in day to day life I have only encountered one person in the "wild" with any PP.
Nevertheless I'm very happy to have learned so much about watches through the people on this forum.
Enjoy the pics

The combination of breguet numerals and black enamel dial, with a complication made it very hard to resist.
I totally agree with your view on this forum!

It's a fantastic fan base with vast knowledge and lots of nice people. But it pumps up your taste and standards of a "nice timepiece" so much that it becomes dangerous ))
Lucky you ! Big congrats !

One of the best and most beautiful Pateks out there at the moment. My favorite currently being 5204P. This could be your next ;-). Best, Volker
No need....

In the 5370p he already has the best.
Thanks for the wonderful shots

especially of the movement. Congratulations, you got yourself one of the finest Patek you can buy. CC
Simply fantastic!

I really love 5370P and would love to acquire it. But for the time being the price would hit too hard. Best, Kari
Incomparable movement!!

I just love the way Patek do their split second chronographs! Considering the complexity of the complication, they have managed to fit it in a wearable case. The fact that they also produce an ultra thin split second chronograph (at a much higher price) t...
Congratulations.

You have, in my mind, the most desirable Patek currently "available"; and one I was lucky enough to have in my hands recently. The dial is almost incomparable and the movement as well. You make an interesting point about the "skewed" world of PuristS, whe...
A fantastic watch!

And a most insightful observation. Indeed, how many of us have seen a PP, ALS or a top-end independent in the "wild"? Watch gtgs with fellow aficionados do not count. J

In public at a home appliance store, there was a man wearing an 1815 Chrono WG which i recognised due to the subdial layout. I didn't manage to compliment his watch though... Regards, skyeriding
Patek in the wild
By: Vwong : June 26th, 2017-06:59
Thanks again to everyone for their well wishes. Yes as some of you have pointed out, I have never seen a Lange out on the street either. Many many many rolexes. Many many many Omegas. But not any of the brands that make more complicated watches. Enjoy the...
That's something I also try to emphasize in my replies

You're very right to talk about what we see here compared to what it really represents compared to the volume produced (1 brand or all brands together), to how many it represents "in the wild", hence how often we see watches etc... (and even how many have...
It's a funny phenomenon, seeing a Patek "in the wild"
By: 5980 : June 26th, 2017-17:48
I can recall only one occasion. Just this month. I came across a gentleman in the same hotel wearing a 5711. I couldn't help myself, so I discreetly approached him and complimented him on a fine reference. He looked up, sneered at me, said nothing, and tu...
Congrats.....

Best watch in the modern catalogue by far,That's just my opinion the movement is a marvel. About meeting people wearing Patek in the wild,It's actually true in my case,I have only seen a handful of Patek and mostly nautilus or aquanaut. Best, Ahmed
Amazing!

Amazing piece! Congrats. I think that an aesthetic level this is the best split seconds currently available because it has Breguet numerals, a remarkable black dial that matches perfectly with the dial and an amazing shape. Great choice, I look forward to...
Huge congratulations!

I agonised over the 5204P and R for months, I just found it had too many flaws and was denial. When an AD called me and told me he can reserve a 5370P for me, I thought it wise to explore an alternative. I am not an impulsive buyer, truth be told I'm a ra...
