Automotive: When I was a kid…

My dream cars were the E30 M3 and the 959. I had the chance to get a nice one decades ago and it’s done quite a few driving schools but the market got too crazy to justify the initial plan to club race. Now it sits in a garage waiting for a nice Pacific Northwest day to stretch its legs. Still under

Rolex: Well, it gets a new reference number

In Rolex terms, that’s *kind of* an update, no? In addition to the aforementioned bezel ring, I believe that the indices have reverted back to the smaller size, a la 16520 markers. Thanks, Brian

Jaeger-LeCoultre: It is a little different though..

The updated movement has time on the chronograph side, which its predecessor did not have. My question is whether there’s a gmt function—I’m guessing not since it wasn’t mentioned. Omega: Yes. They inverted the colors; yellow dial with a red seconds hand.

Both watches were released as part of the same series (the first Schumacher watch). Later, Omega did a deal with CART, the American open wheel racing series, that had a blue dial. Thanks, Brian
