Seiko: Great review

That really is a treasure you have the. Fortunately, it hasn't been polished nor the dial refinished, and the patina it has developed looks perfect. I have had a couple of vintage pieces myself, although not Grand Seiko or Seiko, but never really felt comfortable in terms of how to properly care for

Seiko: My Grail

Not only my Grand Seiko grail, but my grail watch. A platinum watch with diamond dust in the gorgeous dial, and fantastic movement. At first, I thought it a bit large at 43mm. But when I learned about the movement having 3 barrels to support the power reserve, and the fact that the movement has to b

Seiko: Excellent!

The best reissue of any watch I have ever seen - bar none! Soon I will be able to share in the enthusiasm. I am very fortunate to have found one, and expect it later this week. Thanks for your excellent photos, especially the ones of the presentation which I have never seen. Congratulations, Carl

Seiko: Had my eye on this model for a while

You could not have picked a better piece for your first Grand Seiko. This is the very best re-creations of a vintage watch I have ever seen. Among other attributes, no dimension of this watch is more than 2mm larger than the original. And that is only because the newer movement now contains a manual

Seiko: Gorgeous straps

They suit your watches beautifully. I am just about to receive my 62GS, the SBGR095. Must keep this in mind for later. As this will be my only GS with leather strap, eventually it will need replacing.

Seiko: Wow!

Congratulations to you. This set IMO is easily the nicest watch set that any watch company has ever come out with. Love the Historical Collection. Recently, I have been fortunate enough to find a Self-Dater with the black dial and a 62GS, not an easy task since both are sold out. Grand Seiko has don

Seiko: SBGV011 & SBGV019

SBGV011 SBGV011 I think this is interesting as the totally flat and flush crystal really accentuates the side angle of the bezel: SBGV019

Cartier: The New Year & New Tank Anglaise

http://i492.photobucket.com/albums/rr286/carlhaluss/0f65145f-b2ba-45b6-a20a-282b8e50a6a2_zps56acef14.jpg Apologies that this greeting is so belated. The New Year came for me with a big surprise. After admiring the Tank Anglaise since it was first introduced, I refused to try it on. The only model th

Cartier: Thank You..

for the quick response. I am going in to try one on this weekend, so I can make up my mind. Now that I read what you have to say, I realize that the Tank especially really doesn't have any lugs. That is really quite a wide strap, but I certainly have heard no negative comments about the comfort. On

Cartier: Lug width?

I wonder if anyone could tell me the lug width. I am very interested in this watch. It may seem surprising, but I was intent on getting a Rolex Submariner with ceramic bezel and no date. I really want a watch with a black dial. One that can be worn for casual or dressy wear. Everyone's taste is diff
