Glashütte Original: How "sporty" is it?

Agreed on IWC as another great value alternative. I am drawn to the simpler IWCs rather than their PC, but thats just me. I wonder how sporty the EVO Perpetual is? I am not suggesting playing golf, but does GO manufacture this with some sort of shock absorbing case in a similar way that Jaeger does

F.P. Journe: From the AD or Boutique

When I got my PT/Grey resonance, I order extra set of Blue Strap. Thats what I wear it with now. Its a fantastic look. Just get it from the shop. They should sell it.

Independents: Case is Hardened Steel

My reasoning for choosing that case was above. In summary, I love that white metal case for the Observatoire, since I almost see it as his trademark. I thought the grey dial was a fanastic combination and i didnt have a grey dial watch. Now, since I felt this "dressed down" the KV Obs, I thought it

Independents: Wot no Journe?

Nice Topic CL, I have to say that it does not surprise me that the Simplicity comes up time and again. It is (from pictures) a stunning watch. I have never seen one, but it feels so soft and full of life and passion. You can never disagree with someone choosing that! However for my Independent, I ch

So far, no one has a better idea of why this is termed the "Tourbillon" style. cheers! Justi

Hi All, Is there a good link in here which can describe the differences and process of the Frosted Finish (a la Roger Smith) and Geneva Stripes (which we see probabbly more often). I am refering to actaully hand fiish, not the machine processed methods. I am interested to hear of views and also hist

F.P. Journe: Funny description

The resonance has 2 dials and both can eb set independently of each other for 2 different time zones. In fact you can set any times you want, eg 3pm on the left dial and 8.37 on the other dial. Its totally up to you how you set it

F.P. Journe: 1/100th or not? Why Care!?!??

I love that Centigraph has the ability to measure 1/100th of a second. And that is the raison d'etre of this watch. I have read with interest many comments about whether this watch works or is accurate to 1/100th because humans cannot react that fast. But why does that matter? We have hand held digi
