Thin? Who likes thin? This is thin! And this was 35 years ago. 2.6 mm thick.

I had this one for a while, but sold it as I only want to own non-battery powered watches (still own two battery powered watches though...).

The Omega "La Magique". Debuted in 1981. Only 261 of these watches with calibre 1357 were produced. No limited edition - but only 261!! The case was rolled from pure gold ingots. There are two paper thin sapphire glass discs with hands marked with gold dust. The quartz movement which drives the two discs is placed off centre. Retail price in 1982: CHF 6'250.--

Cheers, HSTE

Just rade in an article that Al Pacino wore this watch in Scarface. Also rade that the thinnest watch ever made was The Longines Feuille d\'Or (only 1.98 mm). A Quartz watch too. Thank you for your explanations and shots. Best wishes Alkiro

it took a few years for watchophiles to nail this one down. Indeed Al wore this one in Scarface. The very one I believe you show, as there very many different layouts. To me it captured the perfect element of the time and place. Bling was the 80's in so m...

Same movement as the Concorde Delirium?

I remember they\'ve had a cooperation (but then my memory is going). And the even thinner Longines was simply too thin to be stable, i.e. it was prone to bending. Great piece of history!

That is thin!

Interesting to see these lesser known watches. Best Blomman
