Omega Tuesday - Let's see your Omega watches ...

Mar 28, 2017,03:53 AM

Team,

Allow me to open with a Speedmaster that I don't wear frequently.

The Omega Speedmaster Split Seconds (a.k.a. Ratrappante).

This one was released around the year 2000 and uses the same (or very similar) case from the Speedmaster X-33.

Big, bold and very sportive.

The movement is Omega 3600 that uses the ETA 7750 as base.

Sort of rare, it was never a best seller maybe because it's size (at that time it was huge).

Let's see the Omega that is on your wrist on this gray Fall (here) Tuesday.

Cheers,

Nilo

A real "tool watch", capable of surviving my 2.5 year old\'s sticky curious fingers. Incidentally, that\'s his FAVOURITE watch ...

Love this photo!

He is a cutie (my wife\'s contribution I admit), but gets His affinity for watches from me.

Dust proof, waterproof, and yours presumably suck proof! Lovely picture. Regards, Kev.

Here's the black dialed version ...

It's more easy to find, but I love the dial: Cheers, Nilo ...

I don't blame you!

Sometimes, someone on the watch industry, in this case Omega hits all marks and the Snoopy is one. Love mine. Cheers, Nilo

I agree too. Omega has been on fire, on the right track and release lots of goodies since I started paying attention...

from the Spectre, to this Snoopy, CK2998 and the Moonphase Master Chrono. I've been wondering about the hype from the 2008 Alaska Project, but it's another White dial watch and Speedy, and I'm not into redundancy and "similar" watches. Thus, it is a hard ...

I was late to the game on this one too, but managed to find one with great help from local boutique.

Many watches said "sold out" but they are actually not, so you might want to keep trying. I hope I'll not regret the 60th set, but my "boss" said I can use the funds "saved" on this set for other watch that I like so that's a good relief Rgds Raymond

I think it might be a good idea to pass on the set

It\'s very cool, don\'t get me wrong. I just feel happy to look not touch in this case. Perhaps allocate the resources somewhere a bit more new/different/unique in this case for me. All the best and thanks for the advice!

I would love more shots of that Nilo.

I introduced him to Aeropress coffee, and used his Speedmaster to demonstrate and measure the brewing time. ...

I never had success with...

 By: nilomis : March 28th, 2017-16:15
An Aeropress. Maybe I forgot to have a Speedmaster on my wrist. Cheers, Nilo

The only logical conclusion.

Try the blue bottle coffee method for a start. Make sure you have a Speedmaster though.

15 years and counting. Very reliable. Quite accurate. Due for a service as it hasn\'t been. Something about the cal 1120 that makes it a great tool watch. ...

No Tuesday anymore.. But maybe better late than never ?,.. ;))
