This watch keeps me company in brief respites throughout the work day.

While I admire the form and function of watches, most of my sentimentality (towards watches as well as other things in life) is derived from moments of reflection when I briefly step outside of my routine day and take a moment to pause and stare at the watch dial. The watch is ticking away, just like so much of what often goes on in our busy lives tucked away from the forefront like our heart pumping blood, thoughts entering and exiting from our attention, and our lungs inflating and deflating away, hidden from our awareness. For a moment, I become aware of all of these things and refresh my perspective before returning to all the buzz that normally occupies my mind. I think these are the moments when we truly get attached to our watches aside from the monetary implications.

Just some random thoughts to kick off the week!

I've also been wondering about why we grow closer to our watches lately- like what constitutes a grail watch or one we will not sell. The subject matter is so much more interesting given most of us do not need watches alongside our cell phones in order to...

Incredible.....

watches are wonderful for their universality. Thank you for sharing. Best Regards Edward PS Kicking the week off on Thursday......ending the week on Friday..... What a Wonderful Life.

Haha, one may wonder if I am taking advantage of the perpetual calendar complication!

But yes, been having one of those weird weeks with irregular times off!

A time machine to correct for our untimely mistakes or to live thought it all over again?

But, yes I agree. I use my watch machines to often return my thoughts to baseline!
