The Story as I promised

So i have been on a journey for years now trying to find the ONE.  Might I ad I am from South Carolina and you guys have got to understand that old southerners are very understated, no matter how successful you are you wear a Timex if your loud you wear a Rolex.  So I was completely ignorant to fine watch making.  In passing I heard someone mention Patek 6 years ago and I became obsessed with quality but I could be understated like a good ol' southern boy was supposed to be. Being reared in the south no matter the quality or understated tones I could not see paying the 10's of thousands for the watches.  I was still obsessed, years just looking and researching, wishing and dreaming one day.  Problem was I wasnt seeing anything that was actually attractive enough for me not to pass out when the money was spent.  So of course when your obsessed other watches start popping up in view and then i discovered the Grande Maison.  Still wasnt floored by the looks but was floored with the quality and tradition.  When I say looks please forgive me I found the watches attractive but I played American football for 12 years so Im rather large and the watches Small.  So then I came across the duometre' and all of its accomplishments but still wasnt quite there, still also worried about size.  Then it happened this year with the Lunaire I fell in love with the watch so I did as i was supposed to do I narrowed it down to 2 and that is when I came here for the advice...  Insert  thanks Ruckdee,Nick, and all the quality people on this site for helping me decide.  I knew in my heart it was still the Lunaire.  So here is where it gets fun.  I went to my wife and said it is decided I want the Duometre' but we will have to find a way to put money aside bc i cant bring myself to just buying it, She shrugged and said whatever go talk to the AD.  So 2 days later I go to the AD all the way in Canada, as there are none around me, and tell him I'm ready lets make a plan.  As Im waiting to talk to him his assistant came to me to help pass time.  During this time I am frantically looking in the showcase and cannot find the watch. MY WATCH the one i was holding 2 days ago and she casually says we sold the Lunaire yesterday to an Investment banker, by the way Im not an investment banker, haha.  So then the AD comes out to come talk to me as I have developed a decent relationship with him by driving him nuts by dropping in his store just to LOOK LOL.  I was calm in my mind bc I kept saying i was not going to buy today I can put a deposit down and he can find me one later.  Then came a long story that because it was Christmas and the rush of the season he would not take a deposit bc he could not guarantee when another watch would be coming to his store.  That he made a call the same day as it was purchased to try and find when he might be getting another.  How could the Watch that I wanted be gone within 2 days.  Only to find out on CHRISTmas day that my wonderful wife was that person posing as an Investment banker and had bought the watch and had the AD in on it all the time.  He would even call and tell me that he talked to the reps again and they were still trying to locate one for him to bring in.  Then came the Small plain bag with the watch sitting at the bottom it Took everything I had to not cry like a baby, but I will say tears did form.  Never had i ever wanted something so badly and that is now truly Mine.  Best CHRISTmas ever!

Thank you guys for bearing with my story

Steve
