Jaeger LeCoultre 169.1.92 with RABAT city instead than G.M.T.
May 29, 2017,00:40 AM
Dear All,
I just had the possibility to buy this beautiful Jaeger LeCoultre Geografique model 169.1.92 and n.0005.
I found it used and just serviced and the person that sold me the watch also took care of take out all the small sign from the gold, so it seems new.
I would like to have some more information, if someone has any idea, about it and the history of the RABAT city.
I just saw one same like this sold on an auction some years ago and it was the n.0006.
I would like to know if someone has more information.
Thanks a lot to every one

I know I had to contact JLC to at least confirmed the authenticity. The purchase bill is from 28/12/1990. here the same model but different number sold at Bonhams :
Already done all the service

The strange thing is that only few pieces on the market are with different "GMT" city. At the beginning I doubt of its authenticity for this. And also online it is really rare to see one or to find a page where to write something. Also super hard to find ...
Probably

I asked also to JLC and they told me that if I want more information about it I should ask for the extract from the archives. I think for now I will just take care of it and maybe just change the buckle in an aftermarket clasp, more easy to wear.
