The global partnership between Swiss luxury watch brand, Hublot, and World Poker Tour® (WPT®) began in 2014, when Hublot was named both “Official Timekeeper” and “Official Watch” of the premier name in internationally televised gaming and entertainment. The irresistible charm of combining world-class poker and the art of watchmaking is a testament to Hublot’s pursuit of creative originality and high-end lifestyle positioning. To share the excitement with fellow watch lovers, Hublot is proud to launch a second limited edition watch in partnership with the World Poker Tour.

The new Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour Limited Edition launched on January 8, 2018, at the prestigious Upper House in Hong Kong. The novel timepiece symbolizes the union between the fine craftsmanship of Swiss luxury watchmaker Hublot and the fiery display of championship poker displayed in WPT events, showcasing Hublot’s unparalleled skill in the art of fusion in its watches.

To pay exclusive tribute to poker, the Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour Limited Edition is limited to 188 pieces. The timepiece features a 45mm black ceramic case, a polished black ceramic bezel, powered by the in-house Unico Manufacture Chronograph. It also integrates subtle elements of poker in its design. Treated with micro-sandblasting, the new ceramic casing highlights the universally recognized symbols of poker: clubs, hearts, diamonds, and spades. The dial index at “8” is decorated by seven rubies, representing the Chinese tradition of luck and prosperity. The final touch on the watch is the WPT logo on the case-back crystal.

Following launch of the Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour Limited Edition in Asia, Hublot plans to expand the offering to additional regions, including the United States.

For the launch of the Big Bang Unico World Poker Tour Limited Edition, Hublot invited Mr. Eddy Liang, a friend of the Hublot brand and 2014 WPT Sanya champion, to show guests the alluring magic generated between poker and fine watchmaking. The highlight of the event was when Mr. Liang held a Texas hold’em workshop and shared his firsthand experiences with guests on the poker table, as well as some useful card tricks. The setting featured a mini light box inspired by the global home of poker, Las Vegas, elegant black poker tables printed with Hublot’s logo, and a roaring fire in front of the vibrant stage.

I was really not keen on the previous version with the high polish finish... was very bling! Much cooler in the black for serious card players. Thanks for posting Todd, Andrew
