Very nice ladies Girard-Perregax!
Exactly like Rogi says, 14 K Gold with diamonds. Guessing the bracelet is "flexi band".
Now the problem is that this type of ladies watch was made by GP (and many other brands) starting as early as mid 1920s all the way to the 1970s.
But the oval shape and numerals on the dial was most common during the 1960s.
Here are a few examples:
1940:
Mid 1950s:
1960:
1968:
But the best match to your watch I can find is this from 1966: Oval shapes, diamonds, numerals on the dials.
Look at the lugs of the A-9 and the case shape of the A-17.
Somewhere on your watch movement there might be a calibre marking (not always on such small movements).
If we could find out the calibre, it might be possible to trace back which year the watch was made.
Your grandfather must have loved your grandmother very much. This was basically the finest ladies watches you could get at this point!
Hope this helps.
Best
