I just got an IWC teaser email offering me the chance to pre-order Da Vinci models that are being shown today. Is this a new thing? It seems so to me.
And then pick up the watch at the end of January (that's nearly now!) and be wearing it long before the expected delivery date of most newly-announced models. Of course, it's just a few choices, but still ...

This is new, to the extent that IWC is doing it and offering pre-sale orders.
In the future, IWC will be selling its watches on-line through Net-A-Porter (not exclusively!). But Cartier and JLC have had on-line sales for some time.
Will they be delivered by Mr Klaus?
Kurt (not Santa) obviously. Interesting. (These are desperate times in Swiss watch world. But good to see innovation and experimentation) Will you he pulling the trigger?
