. . .this site, obviously, is full of people who look at watches.  People who look at watches a LOT.  Some of them, like you, deal with watches for a living.  And while I kinda sorta have some kind of vague general sense of what's going on with this one- that is, that it's a watch wink -I'm pretty mystified as to what the heck else could be going on with it.

But I really hope the three dimensionality of the design is fully expressed in the final product.  After the harmoniously executed classical/avante garde success story (IMVHO) that was HM1, I can't help but feel sure that the whole package is going to work as a whole- but boy oh boy, the movement just by itself is awfully, awfully cool.

To imprison this little beauty in a wristwatch case would be a serious injustice, as it obviously wants to fly and be free. Forcing it to tell the time (assuming that it does or can do so) is just not right.
