So yesterday did some comparison shopping. At AD was able to compare two mildly interesting watches.

Sadly not great pictures.

First is the vintage triple bridge and the other is the Esmeralda.
IMHO there is no comparison.
The vintage model has a.nice curved case. It has a nice dial side and the rear is solid.
The Esmeralda is open front and back. The Esmeralda is so artfully done. The bridges so much more interesting and more refined. I found the triple bridges of the vintage to be flat and too squared off in comparison. The decoration of the Esmeralda is way above any triple bridge that I've seen.

The way the Esmeralda's crystal is elevated allows more light to enter and make the movement glow.

The rounded bridges of the Esmeralda are so finely finished.

So different with the vintage.

Hey and the Esmeralda is a trophy winner!!

Thank you for these side-by-side shots, Mitch! The way the case and crystal is shaped on the La Esmeralda to let in maximum of light under the bridges is hard to beat! I do like the "minimalistic" decoration look of the vintage 1945. But yes, in this comp...

Not an easy comparison....

But I fear most watches would loose against the Esmeralda! Best Blomman

+1! [nt]

The Esmeralda does seem to have the edge! Stunning workmanship on both

Congratulations Mitch. A true marvel!

Just a question: like your incoming GP with its 3 bridges, how did you take your pictures? You have 3 hands? ;-) A dream for a watch collector Best wishes Alkiro

I know that really well :-)
