Girard-Perregaux 1966 Skeleton, Ref 49549

Friends,

one watch we haven't look at recently is the 1966 Skeleton. Novelty from 2016, 38mm pink gold case and the wonderful architectured skeleton movement. The Laureato Skeleton has the exact same movement but of course different hands.

On a closer look, we can see the elegance in the bridges. They not only removed material from another caliber to make it see-through, but no, the skeleton has been taking into the design process.

On the back you have a pink gold rotor that mirrors the bridge design.

And on the wrist it is fascinating, So many details to discover. The 38mm size is perfect for this watch.

Best,

CC

Nice combination of classicism and modernity, very GP in fact

Really beautiful watch, which would deserve much more success.

The details and the skeleton dial are really gorgeous. The pink gold case is really the cherry on top, it contrasts beautifully with the dark grey of the dial. And off course it has a human size, something no to so obvious nowadays. Best.

Thanks for bringing this one up! Very nice indeed!

Seldom that a front side and a back side fit so perfectly together! Best, HGL
