One from the grail list - the Chopard LUC 1963 Chronograph PuristSPro Edition

The beauty of GTGs is being able to see rare and delectable watches. And Zagreb did not disappoint in that respect (here: www.watchprosite.com more details).

And one of my favourites - firmly on my grail list is the Chopard LUC 1963 Chronograph PuristSPro Edition.

I find B&W brings out the elegance of the piece wonderfully and especially for Nico - no date smile It is not particularly small but it's balanced proportions and nicely shaped lugs conspire to make it fit on almost any wrist.

Adding colour you get a wonderfully playful dial - the deep black reflecting the environment more or less constantly. Placing the running seconds at the subdial at 6 o'clock allows the colour coding of hands - silver for time and red for chrono functions - while keeping overall balance.

So definitely top of the list for when my bank manager acquiesces wink

Thanks to the generous owner for letting me play with it!

I'm not much at editing them - a simple transfer to B&W is about as far as it goes The watch is even nicer in the flesh!

Let's hope you see one in the wild soon, then :)

It really is a spectacular piece. Had the chance to see it live, yet?

Also comes with green hands!?!

A credit to the watch that it's truly alluring in B&W, not only in colour. Hope to be able to join you one day soon

Kristjan, I hope it is OK, I much prefer it without the red hands.

When I saw your photo, I thought maybe it was a new edition. I badly wanted to love this watch, but have never been drawn to the dial. Seeing your black and white photo, l realize a big reason why is the red hands. Too bad, the movement is a real killer.

We all have different tastes :)

Which is good. And fully agree on your movement comments
