Chopard L.U.C Lunar Big Date Chronometer

Friends,

While our dear moderator is off-line, let’s have a quick look at the Chopard L.U.C Lunar Big Date Chronometer.

First impression, this is a massive watch.

For being a dress watch it hold quite a large size, 42 mm in diameter 18-carat gold case (10.90 mm high).

The guilloche pattern is just fantastic,

COSC certified chronometer.

In-house Calibre 96 LD, micro rotor.

Lunar accurate only to be set every 122 years!

Co-axial mainspring barrels 65 hours power reserve.

Limited Edition 250 pieces.

Best

Blomman

I would disagree that this is a dress watch, per se — more a casual watch for those who prefer a leather strap. Bigger dial makes for greater legibility and decent size features without looking cramped or crowded.

Maybe not a dress watch....

But either way, it is a stunning watch! Best Blomman

Yes! I had the same watch in mind! :) [nt]

Still sad about this watch :-(

I will buy a new one in the future... but the dark grey dial one rather than the white one even if blue hands are nice. One very bad shot of my previous GP Best wishes Alkiro ...

It is never too late to go back! :) [nt]

And never too late to correct a "mistake" ;-) Best wishes Alkiro

Thanks, Blomman

Great watch - but surely not a dress watch at 42mm The dial is a bit too busy for my liking (bit eye catching for sure) and the movement side is magnificent Thanks for posting

Yes, a lot of information on the dial, but....

I think Choprad managed to make all these functions co-exist quite well here! Best Blomman

So, have you successfully been lured to the Chopard side yet, Blomman?

Thanks for sharing the watch and your opinions of it - not one we see often here I agree with the size, although the Chopard lug design goes some way in compensating for the size and making the watches wear a tad smaller.

Still no Chopard in my watch box...

But there is a lot to like here and I really like their approach to Fair trade and environmental sustainability! So I hope one day to join you in the Chopard club! Best Blomman

We are looking forward to that!

I promise to fill this forum with a lot of "Blomman shots"! Best Blomman

What do you mean with if? ;)

In the words of the venerable Yoda, \'Do or do not, there is no try\'! It\'s just a matter of time

Stunning design...even better if...

...it could be made at 38mm.

I think this type of design requires a bigger size...

Not sure if it would work with smaller dial. But, the case and lugs do wear smaller than 42 mm. You should try! Best Blomman
